Short & Sweet wrap up about the Outfitting Your Fishing Kayak seminar from the folks at Fogh Marine.

This past weekend was all about fishing, particularly how to outfit your kayak for fishing. Fogh Marine's Hobie Fishing Team Reps Gary and Paul were on hand to share their tips and tricks, plus a few fishing stories.

Gary and Paul shared their wealth of knowledge on what gear to use, like safety and clothing, how to mount fish finders and where (triple check before drilling any holes!), what items are must have's (like the leash for the Hobie MirageDrive, pictured above), the various fishing accessories available (like rod holders and ram mounts) and different anchoring options!

Their biggest advice - go out a couple times in your kayak to see how it feels so you can get a sense of what accessories you'd like to have but more importantly where you'd want things to be mounted and/or placed.

Fogh Marine would like to say a big THANK YOU to Gary and Paul but also to all those who came to the event! We hope you enjoyed the time with our Hobie Fishing Team Reps and got some greats ideas on how to set up and outfit your kayak for fishing.

It is great to see two experienced gentlemen like Gary and Paul giving tips and tricks from their wealth of knowledge about fishing. I enjoyed reading this brief but very useful post about kayaking and boating.
